Twilio routes the message through carrier networks. Delivery status is tracked in real time: queued → sent → delivered.
Webhook Fires
On delivery failure, Twilio calls the /delivery-status webhook. The edge function updates the message status in Supabase.
SLA Alert Triggers
If the delivery rate drops below the configured threshold (default 80%), a real-time SLA breach alert fires with full context.
Auto-Escalation
The real-time listener detects the failure and instantly escalates the conversation to dispatcher status — no manual action needed.
Bulk Retry
The dispatcher sees the failed messages, clicks Bulk Retry All, and every failed SMS is re-queued in a single action.
